Went to Powhite this morning for a little riding and some cleanup. Only had a small hand saw but we were able to clean up a bunch of stuff on the trails. The first loop to the right is basically rideable, the bottom trail and many of the others we cleaned up till it needed a chainsaw or major reroute. There is a bunch of stuff down there that is big.

I was just about to post up if anyone had checked in on our little red-headed stepchild, Powhite. Thanks for the update and the work you put in. I recently contacted Nathan Burrell and he gave me the name of someone to get in touch with for helping out with maintenance at Powhite. Things have been so busy lately that I haven't been in touch yet. Probably a good time to look up the info and see if there is any organized effort out there with which I can help.

Entire perimeter trail is now ridable. Still some debris down but big stuff is taken care of. I'll try to get back out there over weekend and go thru interior trails, don't think they are too bad though. If those of us that ride Powhite spend just a little time out there, we can take care of it ourselves. Everyone owns a rake. Just hoping to keep that place out of parental control.
